What a weekend!
What a weekend we had! It was all packed with activities, with Matthew sitting in a shopping trolley and one of those coin slot musical cars for the first time on Saturday and on Sunday, he ate MacDonalds hot cakes and he met two babies of his age, Yi Xuan and Cheng En.

On Saturday, we brought Matthew to Dr Ong at Bt Timah Plaza for his nine-month development checkup. Despite his bout of illness a couple of weeks back, Matthew has actually put on 0.5kg. He is now 9.5kg, which is above average. He is also tua tao (big headed), head circumference also above average... But he's only average height, standing at 72cm. After his visit at the clinic, we had lunch at the famous B1 shop which sold mee siam, laksa etc. Of course, mama and papa took turn to eat and amuse Matthew. After that, he had his lunch at KFC.

We brought him to NTUC and put him in the shopping trolley for the first time. Of course, a new adventure, he was curious. He realised that he could reach for the fruit!!! First was a bag of apples. Then he was playing with the small tangerines. He grabbed the tangerine and "threw" it into the trolley. He spotted the bananas and pointed at them, insisted that we brought him there to look at them. After a while, he got bored and wanted out of the trolley. That was his first adventure on the trolley. check out this video clip for my adventure with the tangerines!

We went home and he fell asleep in the car. After he woke up, we brought him swimming. It has been a month, since we brought him to the pool. Compared to one month earlier, it was obvious that he has become more alert and aware of the surroundings. He had fun, so did we.

After the swim, we went to HarbourFront for dinner with Matthew's Ah Ma (grandmother). It was not worth my $40 at Noodle Hut. For authentic la mian (noodles) and xiao long bao (steamed dumplings), Crystal Jade and Ding Tai Feng win hands down anytime. After dinner, we walked around the shopping mall and Matthew "experienced" his first X'mas tree. At first he was not smiling. Papa "swung" him, he cheered up. BUT he puked. It must have the swing swing swing. Papa, watch that swinging around! oh ya, see that x'mas tree behind Papa and Matthew, it had real ferro rochers on it!!! yummy tree!

It was time to go home. On our way to get the car, we passed by one of those coin slot musical car. We thought why not. Matthew enjoyed himself in the car, turning the steering wheel and pressing the buttons. First time and he was like a pro!

This is a long post and it's late now. Matthew is in a superglue mode these few days, always want to stick to Mama. He would be sleeping with us on the big bed tonight.

Stay tune for more of our busy weekend!

Good Night Matthew, Sweet Dreams!
