High Chair Lazy?
Matthew woke up at 6am, a little early, I let him play in the dark, in his cot, making noise as usual, while I prepared his milk to bring over to Grandmum's house.

After his feed and his diaper change, he decided to have some fun and he rolled on our bed, not once, but twice, he did complete rolls. Back to tummy to back to tummy!

When we reached Grandmum's place, we sat him in his high chair while we had breakfast. Because he woke up early, he was already starting to feel tired. He sloughed in his chair! Then I propped him up to sit properly and he put his left foot on the seat.

Kids... They are so mysterious... You don't know what they are thinking and you never know when they would amuse, amaze and surprise you!

Sweet dreams, dear. Love, Mommy

Starting Solids...
Matthew is 4 month and 2 day old today.

Grandmum has started him on his rice cereal (Heinz brand)... 2 teaspoons of cereal mixed with water and he happily finished all of it, obviously enjoying his food, tasting with his tongue. too bad I wasn't there to take a photo of him. So sad.

Reached Grandmum's place and found Matthew on his tummy, making noise as usual... Grandmum picked him up and he saw me... SMILE!

After his feed, Matthew started rubbing his eyes. Grandpa brought him to the garden for a walk, but looked for me because he wanted to Zzzz... amazing, it was only 7pm and he was asleep by 7:30pm before Papa came home.

Signing off, Sandy

Shopping Alone with Matthew
Since Mike was going to Regent Hotel for Desmond-and-Donna's wedding lunch reception, Matthew and I decided that we would go shopping... so off we went to Tanglin Mall... At Trader's Hotel, I decided that we should go to the second floor by lift and walk over to Tanglin Mall via the bridge link...

Big mistake! Opening doors was not a problem, but carrying the stroller with Matthew in it was a little way too heavy... No choice, got to do it myself. None of the church-goers (who have just finished their church session at Trader's ballroom) offered to help... $%@(#$&!$

We strolled around the second and third floors, but Matthew started to make noise… then I brought him to B1 and Jason's Supermarket. More noise... Tried to calm him down, didn't work, so I picked him up. Hi-5 on TV. he kept quiet, but started to cry. by this time, my stomach was already groaning... He cried and cried and I got lots of stares... until I stuck his pacifier in his mouth, but he dropped it on the dirty floor. I quickly picked it up, washed at the tap and put it back in his mouth... and OH NO! It was on the dirty floor and I washed it with tap water! I feel so guilty and lousy and Matthew fell asleep...

I brought him to the third floor where it was quieter and there were some benches outside the lifts. I sat there and decided that he should feed. No stares, good... After his feed, he was awake, happy and smiling. I pushed him around in his stroller, but he became unhappy. the lights at one of the shops did not fascinate him, so I decided to sit at the bench to play with him and wait for Mike to come over.

Mike finally came and we went to Forum Galleria. Our little friend was quiet throughout the stroll along Tanglin / Orchard Roads. Until we went into the shopping centre! He started to struggle in the stroller. We went up to Toy-R-Us and Mike walked around with him, while I looked at some feeding stuff. Found the both of them playing a Fisher-Price keyboard. Matthew actually touched and pushed the key. Smart boy.

Matthew decided that he would poo and so we got to change him. So we went to the Mothering Room. Cosy corner. We put him on the changing table and he wanted to turn onto his tummy. Changing time is now a struggle, as he is always practising his newfound skill, rolling onto his tummy.

We figured that he prefers the outdoors and hates shopping malls. We shall spend more time in parks and gardens. No more shopping alone with Matthew for me, it's a struggle!

I love you Matthew, even if I cannot go shopping.. ;o)
